A quick dinner

My first new recipe of the New Year! I love cooking, but never seem to get around to it. I found and altered a recipe for Mozzarella Meat Pies, and they turned out absolutely fantastic!

All you do is brown some meat, add onions, tomato paste, and whatever you'd like to season. Then you take some crescent rolls, and divide them into squares (each package has 4). Press the seams together so they wont fall apart, put some of the meat mixture into the center, then top with another square and seal the edges! Bake at 375 degrees until the pastry is lightly browned.

For an awesome addition, mix together equal parts ranch dressing and salsa for a dipping sauce. Incredibly tasty, and it adds that little something extra. So simple and quick!

He only spoons with Lions and Tigers.

This is Gladiator.

He was rescued from an indoor fleamarket and has been a focal point in this house since Phillip bought him and took him home 5 years ago. And although some people don't understand why I love and accept him as the focal point of our living area, I really do like the thing. How many people have a larger than life Roman soldier by their dining table? Not too many. My house is full of random things, most of them Phillips, and I love sharing them with people!

The hall of movies. Well, part of it anyway. The third shelf down is nothing but horror movies all the way across, so I have to avert my eyes whenever Im searching for a film. I'm that big of a wuss. Strange how I ended up with a horror movie fanatic who collects anything related to the subject.

Strange little world.

My Kingdom for a Dunny

I got these three for Christmas from my fabulous boyfriend. They're dunnys, by KidRobot. Arent they CUTE??? Some of them cost a ridiculous amount, but....man. Adorable. I think I'm hooked, and have to get about 50 more. Love love love~

I did a lot of cleaning/folding/organizing this morning in my craft room. Now everything is *sorta* in its place. Above is another Christmas gift, a Unicornasaurus, also by KidRobot. How Amazing! The box is covered in all sorts of colorful artwork that I just adore.

Above that is a print of Red Riding Hood by one of my favorite artists ever, moonlightwhispers. Her work is amazing, and she's super talented. Check out her etsy shop, so you can fall in love with her too!

An awesome find.

I've been looking for this fabric for a long time, and had about given up on finding it anywhere. I was in a local thrift shop, and saw a bit of color in the corner of my eye, et voila! There is was! Needless to say, I was very excited and immediately ran off to show the boy...who wasn't nearly as impressed as I was. I mean...its Mario!

I think you find the best things at thrift stores when you aren't looking for anything. When you have no expectaions, you can really appreciate the awesome (and sometimes, really weird) things there are. For example, a couple weeks ago we were paying for our things at a differant charity shop when this woman in front of us pulls out a pair of bright red, 6 inch stilletos that she found in a pile of shoes. The one day I didnt look for them.

What are the odds.

A happy birthday!

Not my birthday, but that of the boy who shares my space! He turned 25 today, and was more than a little disturbed by that fact. Although it doesn't seem old at all in my opinion ( and Im sure most of you will agree), he seems to be feeling it. Maybe things he would have liked to have done by now? These things happen every year, but there's nothing we can do to stop the passing of time. All we can do it enjoy it as it comes (thats what she said), and strive to make each year better than the last.
