A Visit to the Aquarium...

Let me preface this post by saying that I'm so terrible at keeping up with my photos, it's pathetic.

We took a trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium last year, and it was so enjoyable! This particular aquarium has two sections; a saltwater building, and its freshwater counterpart. This was really nice as we were able to visit one section, break for lunch, then finish the tour afterwards. If you live in Tennessee or a neighboring state, it's really a great place to visit.

Prepare for a lot of photos of things in water.

Shop Review - ShoriAmeshiko

When I was looking for a Halloween costume and decided on being a Moogle, this shop was the first one I came across! ShoriAmeshikomakes really cute and Japanese inspired apparel, plushies, and fanart hats. This is what I ordered.

How adorable, right?

I officially love this hoodie. It's very well made, all the seams are neatly serged, no loose threads, and it has a nice big hood (a huge plus). The only qualms I had was the sizing, and the shortness of the hoodie. The size of the hoodie was exact to the measurements she had on her website, I just mistakenly got the medium instead of a small, because I'm never a small. lol. But luckily, I have sewing skills so that wasn't a problem at all!

The hoodie was well priced and even came with a cute moogle keychain. Customer service was good, her responses were prompt. I really recommend this seller!

Doll Face.

A little bit inspired by Amber Rose of Laughing with Broken Eyes, I decided to 'doll' myself up for some fabric and thrift shopping. Although my painted cheeks aren't as bold as they could be, I think they got the point across in a cute way. I very much like this look!

Fable and Fury

Fable and Fury  is a shop that I found on Etsy last year, but never bought anything from. They stayed on my favorites list, and a few days ago I broke down and bought one of their necklaces. I don't know why I waited so long! Their prices are good, the designs are so unique, and the quality is top notch.

This is officially my new favorite necklace! It has a really nice weight to it, and I love how crisp and clean the lines are in the design. So so perfect for fall, it's ridiculous. Anyway, I was just really happy with it so I thought I would share the love. So go check it out!

Waiting for the leaves to change...

Fall is finally, and officially here! I celebrated with a velvet blazer (which I jumped the gun with, it was still 90 degrees today), and some autumn inspired eyeshadow. I much prefer tall boots over sandals, and cardigans over tank tops so this season has been much anticipated. Love it!

Stripes.

This is perhaps the shortest skirt I have ever worn. (That's excluding those micro-mini tutus that I wore when I was in ballet) But I think this is going to be a staple outfit for fall. Short dress, colorful tights, and boots. I'm currently on a hunt for some epic knee high boots (so send me some links if you have any recommendations).

Today was fun! We went on a car ride to nowhere, took some photos, and are now watching season 6 of LOST. We've been watching this show nonstop for the past month, and now we're to the end! I dont think I would have lasted this long watching it on T.V. lol. But on dvd, it's like one long movie.

Alice's Sewing Basket

I love threadless.com. I've bought from them many times, but never for myself! Which is ridiculous, as I love all their shirts. So, when I saw that they had a $10 shirt sale going on, I snagged this one. It's called Alice's Sewing Basket . Cute animals as sewing tools? Yes, please.

Back in the day...

Yesterday, Phillip and I went through a bunch of cds with old pictures on them. It is amazing how much you can change in only a couple years! It's almost as if I'm looking at a completely different girl, but I can't really put my finger on what the differences are. They're just...there. It's also crazy how scewed our perseptions of ourselves are. At the time I was so so self consious, but looking back I have to think Damn Girl! You didn't look half bad! I wasted so much time worrying.

What we do every day, no matter how insignificant, shapes us and makes us who we are. What you wear, where you go, how you treat the people you meet...everything matters. Which is why I think we should try to love every day. Yeah, it won't always happen. Sometimes life just sucks. But for the most part, we should try to make every day amazing.

And you know what's amazing?

My new business cards!

It totally is...

Yes, I know. I don't have any clothing in the shop yet...but it's coming. I've been playing around with the serger and I think I've finally got the hang of it.

Me = stoked.

Killer Boots

Phillip and I went to the beauty salon today so he could have his hair done. It was quite entertaining seeing him in a leopard print smock and foil in his hair. :) This is what I wore. And that's a water bottle in my hand, cause I was thirsty! I had planned on wearing my studded belt as well, but it wasn't within easy reach. And, lets face it, Im pretty lazy.

Shirt - Old Navy (Pirates vs. Ninjas), thrifted
Skirt - Hello Kitty, thrifted
Leggings - Target
Boots - Demonia
Bag - Handmade

I've also made a couple new pillows for the shop! I've got TONS more coming, all made from reconstructed and thrifted tees. Tell me what you think!
