Video Game Ladies - ACEO Time!

Okay, so I may be becoming a tad obsessed with making ACEO cards

They're such a fun (and quick) way to knock out that urge to create that hits me at the strangest times. Plus they're small and adorable and such a great way to start a mini art collection! So yeah, I'm in love. They also don't take up much ink (which is great, since markers are expensive!). Good stuff all around.

I thought that I'd make my first round some of my favorite ladies in video games. I've got an enormous list of girls I'd still like to draw, but I think this is a decent start!

Can you name the above characters?

Pink Bird Monsters and other oddities.

Last night, a friend of ours came over with a selection of his Warhammer models and graciously allowed us to paint a couple of them. I was a little intimidated (they're so damn SMALL), but I had a ton of fun and it was enjoyable to try a new medium and paint tiny daemons and monsters. The colors I chose are completely NOT what they are supposed to be, but that was okay with me. :)

I have also forgotten what they are called. So...sorry.

New art from DragonCon!

This past Sunday, a group of friends and I went to DragonCon in Atlanta. This was our second time going and we had a great time! Awesome costumes, great artists, and overpriced autographs galore! We only got a couple autographs, one from Tom Felton i.e. Draco Malfoy, who was so nice and funny (and super cute...I had a geeky fangirl moment...), and another from Doug Bradley, who played Pinhead in Hellraiser.

I also got some prints from some very talented artists!

This first one is by Iris Chen. I loved all her stuff, and looked through her books about 10 times before I decided on this. You should definitely visit her website and have a look around!

Yuki.
The second artist that I purchased from was fantasy artist Ash Evans. This little shop was very friendly and had a huge selection of different prints! I got two, Witching Hour and Wonderland. Ash's website also sells a variety of candles, fabric, greeting cards, and many other items. Go check it out!

Painted Pandas

*edit* I made some changes and added some extras! This is a new picture.

I finished! My first pair of comissioned shoes, and I think they turned out rather well. They were made for a girl I know who is OBSESSED with pandas, so I'm pretty sure these will win her over. They're simple...but cute. And I have so much fun making these! I'm already planning a ton of other designs, and can't wait for my next order!

Painted Lady

I've ventured into the realm of painted shoes...and it's really addicting. It combines my love of art, fashion, and making thrifted things newly awesome. My first pair is up on Etsy right now, this lovely pinup inspired number, all decorated with lovely cherries. They're painted with acrylics and triple sealed to make them water and dirt resistant! Which is awesome. Because who wants dirty, runny cherries? Exactly. No one.

These ones are a pair of 4" pumps by Fredericks of Hollywood, in really really good condition. I was shocked to find them, actually. Theyre also a size 10 and in my etsy shop, ready for the taking!
