One of the best things about working at an orchard is all the seasonal fruit that we get! Right now strawberries are in season, and I absolutely love it.
These are Sweet Charlie strawberries, and they certainly live up to their name. Delicious and perfect for just eating by themselves, using in shortcakes, or cobblers!
Eating foods in season is always fun, and makes you learn to cook in different ways. lol. Not that my shortcake is any example, but still. What are your favorite fruits?
You just made me SO hungry for some strawberry shortcake. There's a ferocious aching in my belly for something fruity and cakey and whipped creamy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fruits are pretty much anything but cantaloupe or anything that tastes like cantaloupe (I'm looking at you, honeydew melon).
